Anyone know what an "ender box" is in reference to DVD releases?  Vol. 3 of Saiunkoku Monogatari is set to come out in October (!!!) and it says it comes with an ender box.  But no explanation as to what that is.  There's no option to buy it without the ender box, and it's the same price as vol's 1 & 2 that don't come with anything (vol. 1 with the ( Read more... )

Oh Saiunkoku.  How you solve my stress woes.  The second disc is magical.  The English dub has not gone horribly awry in these five episodes, either!  These episodes introduced Reishin and Houju, which were the two voices I was most concerned about.  Shockingly, Houju's voice sounds exactly like his Japanese one.  Just speaking English.  Does that ( Read more... )

English voice actors for Saiunkoku are out!  Well, some of them at least.

Seiran's voice, though, I'm not familiar with (he played some characters in Inu-Yasha that I don't remember).

Ryuuki is played by the English voice of Sai from Hikaru no Go (!) and also Light from Death Note (!!).  I didn't know Death Note was in English, but hey, s'all good.  ( Read more... )

AIEEEEE!  Saiunkoku Monogatari officially has the best ending ever.  And there's still a season 2!  I wish some of the other animes I've watched had actual endings this good.  It was perfect - it had me nervous till the very end, then boom!  UTTER FABULOUSNESS.  Also, the last two episodes had a healthy helping of Chamberlain Kou, which made up for ( Read more... )

Do you know what is awesome?  Getting a box of Saiunkoku Monogatari trading cards in the mail only two days after buying them.  I wasn't aware it was POSSIBLE to get things from Japan in two days.  Why is it awesome?
